Information about the individual portrait session in our studio

The duration of the black and white portrait session depends on the package chosen (see packages), we invite you to come with fews outfits to vary moods and styles, we advise you to prefer dark and/or plain outfits that highlight the face, expressions and looks. Professional makeup is not necessary, it can be a good way to feel more comfortable with your image, but it must remain light so that the result is natural and looks like you.
We offer different atmospheres for your portrait session, on textured backgrounds, black, gray or white. You can tell us what you like. It is important to note that we take care of everything during the session, we are going to put you in place under the lighting of the photo studio, make you move and find the body position that will highlight you for a result up to your photographic expectations. Then, everything goes through the dialogue and it is we who will take you and bring out your different expressions and enhance the intensity of your gaze under the light. We are well aware that many of us are not very relaxed when facing a lens and that is why we will guide you, our goal is also to make you spend a pleasant moment, in relaxation, so that the portrait photo shoot is successful. It is our responsibility to guide you in finding your gestures and thus enhancing your personality, through our human and warm approach. You simply have to trust us and follow our instructions during the session.
During and at the end of the portrait session, we will select together the best images. The selected images are optimized in high definition and free of rights (in the family or professional context, for advertising or publishing, contact us) with a slight touch up for possible small skin defects and an optimization work to obtain this deep and contrasting black and white.

How is a portrait session in the studio?

It’s because being alone with a professional photographer can be intimidating that we do everything to create a friendly moment and enhance this experience. Our studio is intimate and warm, you will feel comfortable. We are of course listening to your wishes and desires, we follow your instructions if you have them, but we will also take the liberty of taking you in a different direction depending on the course of the session, your gestures and your style.
We have a real artistic look in black and white photography and we bring to the studio portrait for individuals and professionals a magazine image, a deep and neat black and white, a chic side, modern and timeless.
It’s always an amazing experience to live a studio session and we are happy to have extremely enthusiastic feedback as much on our images as on the time spent together. The exchange between the photographer and the model is a unique moment, always different and our approach is absolutely not formatted, the enthusiasm of discovery and exchange is still intact.

How does a portrait shoot work?

An individual session lasts about 1 hour or more, during which time we take care to guide you with kindness and humor so that this portrait session is a good time for you. We are well aware that it is not always easy to pose in front of a lens and it is our role to direct this session so that it remains a good memory and so that the images are up to your expectations.
And believe us, there are no people who are not photogenic, it is the eye of the photographer that makes the difference.

What is your approach as a photographer?

Our studio approach is centered on the human: expressions, character of a face, complicity, it’s the personality of the model or models that stands out in the final portrait.

How to dress?

You are yourself “like every day” and also “very chic”.
We address the issue of style, mood and clothes concretely during our preparation appointment, and in addition I send you practical and precise advice, we can exchange by mail also when you have ideas.
And in general, it is better to bring more than not enough! I guide you from beginning to end of the experience for the harmony of the image.

How long is the session?

As long as we have fun!
Actually, depending on the packages chosen. In individual Portrait photo shoots, we are free to create and express ourselves. We have prepared your project well, so everything will go well in the organization.

How do I choose the shots I want?

During and after our portrait session, we will sit down in front of my computer and select which images you want to select. I may have shot up to 300 images, but don’t worry, as we’ve been going along, I’ve been selecting only the best shots. So, we’ll have a smaller selection to go through. I will guide you with your selections, but the final choice is yours!

How will we recover the images?

We take great care in the development and quality of our photo files: all our shots are made in RAW format for optimal rendering. Then, after sorting, we work on each portrait one by one to achieve a professional look.
A few days after the portrait session, we deliver you the digital files in black and white, all optimized and royalty-free for your use in the family circle or for your professional communication. The photos are delivered to you via a private platform where you can view, upload and share all images.

How long does it take to receive the final photos?

I’m as excited as you are!!!
The deadlines are to be counted from the day of selection of images. 2 days.

Are the digital files being received?

Yes, each portrait you buy comes in digital format, to be used on your phones or networks, and to print on your side.
So I am convinced that you have quality images that I control and at the same time I understand your desire to live in the digital age.

Can I get all the RAW files?

Nope. Simply, editing is such a integral part of image making that I won’t let a photo go out in the world without an edit - my reputation is on the line. But also, my accountant would be very angry if I just started giving away my “product” for free.

Where is your studio?

The studio is close the Caobao Station metro (Line 1 and line 12).
